Find a container to hold the amount of beads needed and spray with DISTILLED WATER until lightly soaked. DO NOT POUR water on to the beads, this will cause them to crack. You may also set a bowl of distilled water next to the beads and allow them to soak the water up, this just takes more time. Either of these methods will work. About 70% of the beads will turn a clear color and they are ready. You will want to monitor your humidity and color of the beads periodically to know when they need recharged. When the humidity drops below your desired level add some water until they are 70% clear again.
We suggest using the Caliber III for monitoring your humidity. It is the most accurate digital hygrometer on the market. Find a good place that is somewhat stable in temperature and humidity to keep your humidor or cooler. Sometimes the best cure for extreme highs and lows is just the relocation of your humidor or cooler.
