ConservaGel Beads are a specially engineered silica based material not to be confused with silica gel which only receives moisture. Theses are beads not a gel. ConservaGel both gives and receives moisture which provides extremely stable humidity conditions across a range of applications. This is the same product that is used in museums to preserve and protect priceless works of art. ConservaGel is engineered to have an accuracy range of 4% which reacts very quickly to changes in humidity to maintain a stable and self-correcting environment. You may find conditioned silica gel sold under a variety of trade names. ConservaGel uses a much more stringent manufacturing process with closely monitored quality control to guarantee consistency in a controlled environmet such as your humidor. Available in two different set points. The 70% media has an accuracy range of 68% - 72% and the 65% media has an accuracy range of 63% - 67%. One pound of beads will humidify up to 5 cubic feet. However you may use more than recommended, this will allow your humidor to compensate for seasonal humidity changes and give you more moisture storage.
Every pound of beads now comes with a pouch of your choice. Choose from a 1 lb. or 2 1/2 lb. pouches.

Rock solid humidity in my coolers. I have a dozen Igloos that store a lot of cigars, many irreplaceable. I used to worry about them constantly, but since switching to this stuff I've had no problems. Jen was very helpful in answering all of my questions. I also looked around and this was also the best price that I could find.

This stuff is awesome. I have tried many different ways to keep a constant humidity and this is right on. Humidity highs and lows only range +/-4% - awesome. I'd recommend this to anyone.

These beads are excellent. There are a lot of do-it-yourself ones out there, but they require way too much effort and don't hold the RH for long periods of time. The beads from these guys really do the trick and at a much better price than anywhere else on the net.
